Lately I have been doing restoration work and new commissions. I am taking part in the outdoor exhibition at the BOA Arts Festival which begins this weekend. In this exhibition I show stained glass and fused hand painted glass work.
My workshop where I make windows of stained glass for private or public places is cool in the hot weather, thank goodness. On the farm the swallows swoop around the yard, flying into my workshop too! At the workshop one of my design’s has been approved and a brand new one is being talked about. New commissions develop visually at the design stage when we talk about them. They come to life in the rich colour’s of the glass and the line of the paint. Stained glass is a beautiful medium to translate our visions of life.
I am restoring a beautiful old doorway filled with etched glass. The red glass borders are very hard to match in colour. I am consistently working with colour and light to achieve the correct tones. The windows I create are to a high standard as are those that are restored. I use conservation methods where possible so as to preserve the original stained glass.
I am taking more students now, book onto a course of your desire. Call me or email for more information.

Your restoration work looks very interesting. You must have a great deal of patience when working on your pieces for restoration. But, as you say. At least you have a cool place to work even when it’s warm outside.

Hi Anna,
Thank you yes I like restoration for the longevity of the glasswork and installing something old that has been rejuvenated! Mostly I love making new designs like the recent one in Dorset.
I had a quick look at your website and Peter layton was one of the people’s studios I visited several times under London bridge. I have something of his too a beautiful spiral I use as a paper weight.
Best wishes,
Annie
