The workshop has been a hive of activity since the Autumn. I have new commissions of stained glass windows for brand new homes and new refurbished character cottages. The evenings have drawn in now and the ice forms beautifully on the top of the troughs of water here on the farm. The puddles on the ground and the frost on the windows form intricate patterns like my paint when I mix it on the slabs of glass. The pied wagtails have taken roost in the roof tops of the barn across the yard so I can see them constantly dashing about wagging their tails constantly while I work. The robin makes an appearance to show me he is here and there.
Windows as I have mentioned before are like portals for the angels if you believe in such things of beauty. I do believe in beauty and the fact that Art and Art history has so much to teach us. I have so much to learn and instinctively love painting and drawing. When I meet new people who commission me to make painted or unpainted windows of stained glass I go to the place with them where the window will be then we examine and discuss. I have four projects running along side of each other all different, all beautiful and all unique. My own original designs inspired by my client and passed to me as baton of hope and light. I can realise designs for spaces through intuition and skill.
