All the seasons have their natural changes. Winter always make me feel like hibernating to keep warm. Wearing layers of clothes give softness against the chill wind. My stained glass studio is warm, a really hearty place to work.
I have been beavering away in my studio making stained glass roundels for Christmas as commissions and for sale at the Christmas Fair. Preparation is always good for doing anything in the workshop. I love to carefully prepare my stained glass designs as it is a good sharing, giving time to friends and loved ones. In the studio I am making many lovely glass-works including hand made glass angels.
The Christmas Fair is at the Made in Bradford shop in the Vaults, Lamb yard, Bradford on Avon, BA15 1FG . I will be there from 12th – 20th December 11am – 5pm with Christmas cards and stained glass for gifts. Prices range from £12 – £150. There will be ten other artists with beautiful hand crafted works for sale in ceramics, painting and lots more!
Stained glass gift vouchers
I also have some great gift vouchers which can be purchased at my studio or by post and given as a gift, a class in traditional glass painting, leaded panels or copper foiling techniques for 2016.
Restoration and glass repairs
I have been busy with restoration and conservation work and welcome any commissions in this area. I am a member of ICON Institute of Conservation and wholeheartedly believe that conservation of windows in historic buildings private or public is paramount. Although where necessary careful restoration is highly regarded.
See you at the fair! Have a wonderful creative wintertime. Peace and Goodwill on Earth.
